It is reported that there will be a new wave of increase in the production capacity of polyethylene in 2017. According to the market intelligence provided by concerned agency, in 2016, China's PE production capacity reached 14.25 million tons, including the newly launched 460 thousand tons.
Specifically,Yulin Shenhua Energy has produced about an estimated 220 thousand tons LDPE production in 2016 since December 2015;The Myth of Xinjiang Energy has produced about an estimated 40 thousand tons LDPE since it`s beginning of October this year; China Coal Mengda has also produced 15 thousand tons of LLDPE since it`s launched in April; Zhongtian Cooperated,beginning in October has in total produced 50 thousand tons of LLDPE.These four new projects` annual production capacity are about 300 thousand tons.
In 2017, newly started project will continue to increase the PE capacity which is expected to reach 1.3 million tons. Among then are Jiutai Energy (annual production capacity 25 thousand tons,Zhongtian Cooperated (37 thousand tons), China National Offshore Oil Corporation- Huizhou Second Division (700 thousand tons),and Ningxia Myth (430 thousand tons). Most of the newly increased capacity com from coal chemical projects.
